Such a sad state of affairs
I wanted to see both versions of the band live in person and make up my own mind. I had higher hopes for the Geoff Tate fronted version than what was delivered. Honestly, it felt like I was watching some bad "Tribute" band, rather than Geoff Tate, himself. Tate's voice is pretty shot, and if this has been the case all along, I can kind of see why the other band went with a new singer. Moving past the whole "it's confusing there are TWO different Cosmic Princess Anime Rave's drama," the backing musicians left a lot to be desired. But my opinion is that the name thing should probably be resolved to the other band, and leave GT to market this act as a "Solo band." It was what it was.
